Camp Gan Israel is a local summer day camp where your children will enjoy days filled with spirit, joy and friendship. We are part of the largest and fastest growing network of day camps, enjoying a reputation as a pioneer in Jewish camping, with innovative ideas and creative activities, to both provide enjoyment and inspire children to try new and exciting things!

OUr staff

The real secret to our success lies in our outstanding staff. The staff members of Camp Gan Israel are highly talented individuals with years of experience in day camps and youth programs. Gan Israel counselors are known for their warmth and ability to understand, relate to, and care for every child individually.

Staff members have come from as far away as Australia, Europe, South Africa and throughout North America. They join our local talent in fostering a sense of belonging with Jews the world over. It is the unique dedication and hard work of the staff that has made Camp Gan Israel a very special part of so many families' lives.

Our program

Special Events & Activities
The daily schedule is complemented by exciting and unique activities, including: Capture the Flag, scavenger hunts, auction, and international days to name just a few.

Trips EVERY DAY (5 and older)
Every day, the campers leave grounds for exciting trips all over Greater Austin, including trips to the beach, swimming, and field trips. Last year's highlights included: Water Hikes, Wonder World, the Exotic Resort Zoo, the Volente Beach Resort, and more.

Swimming and Water
Going to the beach and recreational swimming are a delightfully refreshing element of the camp schedule. The 18 months-4 year olds go swimming every day! All aquatic activities are under constant supervision of certified lifeguards.

Creative Arts
The Creative Arts programming allows campers to explore the world around them and to express their creativity in different art forms whether it be painting, dancing or arts and crafts. Our staff members inspire, guide and encourage campers to recognize and develop their creative potential.

Jewish Culture
The hallmark of a Jewish camp is its Jewish content. The campers of Gan Israel are imbued with a deep sense of pride in their heritage and a profound love for the Land of Israel. In addition to daily Judaic instruction, our staff uses stories, videos, Challah baking, music, art, dance and much more to bring the beauty, values and traditions of our heritage to life.

Sports and Athletics
At Gan Israel, campers participate in various sports activities, including soccer, basketball, football and more. Professional instructors teach specialized activities. e.g. Krav Maga, Zumba or Karate.
